Trapper always uses Kayak Sports hatches to get a secure fit. The hatch rims are carefully glued to give a perfect seal. A silicon spray or soap should be used to keep the seals well maintained. The kayaks are equipped with deck ropes and behind the cockpit there is space to fit the paddle-blade for self-rescue. In front and behind the cockpit the kayaks are equipped with shock-cord, making it possible to keep some gear on deck. There are carrying toggles at each end.
